On the certificates screen you can export the certificate and its private key in X.509 PEM format. Please be very careful with the private key. If it compromised the Certificate needs to be suspended. The certificte name has to be a unique name, which means that it's not used by another certificte in the system. A certificate has a **type** which is either *server* or *user*. The type can not be changed later on and special attributes are added to the certificate depending on the **type** that might affect its usage.
